Selected work
Films made with organizations that had something worth saying.
Some of this is institutional. Some of it is a corner shop in Long Beach that turned into a festival film. The through-line is interviews. Getting the real people to communicate their true meaning, then building the picture around it.

Five years with the Los Angeles Master Chorale.
From 2018 to 2022 — event films, fundraising pieces, and the Big Sing, which puts thousands of untrained voices in one room and asks them to sing together.
We started with the fundraising films, producing projects across multiple departments.
The Big Sing grew the same way. On Big Sing California we brought together the interviews and multi-camera footage from film teams across the state. By Big Sing 2022 we were filming it too.
That is how an outside team can fit in with an organization and deliver its calendar of films.
Working with their funders: the fundraising films meant working directly with funders where the stakes are high and the Chorale's name in the community is on the line. Handling those relationships well is part of the work, and when it goes well it keeps opening opportunities for the organization.

Big Sing 2022
We showed up as partners to film and edit this one, bringing a community together and meeting both the production and the people in it with the professionalism that counts.
LA Master Chorale
Big Sing California
Film teams across California captured a major event built to amplify the power of voice. We brought the interviews and multi-camera performance footage together into one immersive film, so you feel the power of the event and what people took from it: a deeper connection through music. A project this ambitious deserved a story that does it justice.

The season a theatre came back.
Altadena Music Theatre is a non-profit that had to rebuild its season after the devastation of the Eaton fire. We made films for the company highlighting its youth musical theatre program, supporting the funding effort to bring its full slate of programming back to the community of Altadena.
Our work spans formats. Longer pieces for the website and the funding conversation, and short films built for the feeds where a local audience actually finds a show. The centerpiece of the season was Audrey II, the carnivorous plant at the heart of Little Shop of Horrors, built by hand at eleven feet. Craft at this scale is best captured on film.

Spotlight
The first of two social-media-first videos we shot and edited for the company. Our role was to showcase the building team behind this mega puppet, created by famed Disney Imagineer Chris Runco.

Encore
Audrey II and the performers move across the stage as the energy builds toward opening night. We were part of the campaign, rolling out reveals that built anticipation for what became a series of sold-out shows.
